Become a Foster
Coppell Humane Society is a foster home organization, meaning all of the animals in our care live in a home with a volunteer called a foster. The foster cares for the pet and Coppell Humane Society covers all needed medical care, food, cat litter, and other basic items.
We desperately need foster homes for dogs, puppies, kittens, and cats. We can only save a life, when we have a home willing to foster them.
Being a foster family is a very rewarding experience for everyone involved, and, the whole family WILL be involved! Whether over time you take in one or twenty, you're saving a life. We have fosters who have fostered less than ten animals and others who have fostered over one hundred. By caring for an animal in your home with you, your family, and any of your own pets, you are helping them learn and understand how to live in a home with people and pets, something many of them might never have experienced!
You're always welcome to spoil your foster pets with your own money, but CHS provides the necessities such as medical treatments, crates, litter, and food. All you're required to give is a little tender loving care and some of your time, for example getting your foster animal to and from our weekly adoption events or any of our special events in the community.
